Dana A. Fisher
Owner, Funeral Director, Embalmer, Certified Crematory Operator

Dana Fisher has been a member of the funeral home since 1985. A lifelong resident of Madison County, he graduated from Madison Plains High school in 1982 and from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1988, where he received his bachelor’s degree in mortuary science. He completed his apprenticeship locally at the funeral home and became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 1989. In 2003, he started purchasing the Eberle Funeral Home from his former partner Bill Eberle. Recognizing a need to offer cremation options locally, in 2006 the two of them added a human crematory to the site and now operate as the Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home and Crematory.

Dana is married to Rachel (Bogenrife) Fisher, and between them they have four children and three grandchildren, plus another grandchild on the way!

Dana is a member of the Ohio Embalmers Association, the Ohio Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. Locally, he is a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the London Lion's Club, the Madison County Farm Bureau, and Aerie #950, FOE.

His personal time is enjoyed by spending time with family and of course doting on his grandchildren. He also enjoys making new recipes at home and manicuring his yard to be one of the best kept in London.

Raised locally here in London, Darby is a graduate of London High School. She completed her undergraduate studies in both chemistry and psychology at the Ohio Wesleyan University where she graduated Suma Cum Lade with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Darby began working at the Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home and Crematory in 2019, where she worked alongside her father, Dana Fisher, in learning the intricacies of the funeral industry. It was there that she found her passion for helping others through some of the most difficult challenges life can bestow upon us, and she was determined to be able to help those families in every way possible.

Continuing in her father’s footsteps, Darby went on to attend the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science where she also graduated Suma Cum Laude, and received awards from Mu Sigma Alpha for outstanding academic proficiency as well as the William J. Musmanno Memorial Award for excellence in embalming. After serving her apprenticeship at the funeral home, Darby became a licensed funeral director, embalmer, and certified crematory operator in March of 2024. She looks forward to continuing to provide the same compassionate excellence of care to our community and continuing the lasting legacy the funeral home has brought to the Madison County area continuously since 1908.

Darby is a member of the Ohio Embalmer’s Association, the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, and the National Funeral Directors Association. Locally, she is a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Madison County Farm Bureau, Chapter #386 O.E.S., and Aerie #950, F.O.E. Continuing her passion of caring for others, Darby also moonlights at Madison Health in the ICU where she is able to continue to care for her community close to home.

Although rare, her personal time is filled with long walks with her chocolate lab Riley, spending time with friends, going fishing, reading, or baking various sweet treats to share.
