Will Richard Gregg, 48, of London, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in his residence.
Born April 28, 1972 in Madison County Hospital in London, Ohio the son of William “Bill” Ira and Betty Louise (Smith) Gregg.
Willy as he was affectionately called, was a lifelong faithful member of the London Church of the Nazarene, where he served as youth director, board member, and was pursuing Ordination. Willy worked as a patrol officer at Lake Choctaw and was a dispatcher for the Madison County Sheriff’s Office for 15 years but was forced into medical retirement in 2015.
He was preceded in death by his father Bill, grandparents Ira and Mary Alice Gregg and Guy Wilbert and Martha Cleo Smith; several aunts and uncles including Richard Gregg and Darrell Little; as well as countless friends, family, cousins and church family.
Survivors include his mother, Betty L. (Smith) Gregg of London; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda L. (Gregg) and Jimmy Hollar; nephew, Jacob Hollar all of Mechanicsburg; aunts, Linda Little and Nancy (Frank) Powell all of London; 1st cousin Tony (Joelle) Gregg and their daughters Tinley and Harlow Gregg all of South Charleston; as well as countless friends, family, cousins and church family.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, November 7, 2020 in the London Church of the Nazarene, 224 Elm Street, London, Ohio 43140 with Pastor Mike McKenzie officiating and interment following in Kirkwood Cemetery, 1600 US-42, London, Ohio 43140. Friends may call at the London Church of the Nazarene, 224 Elm Street, London, Ohio 43140 from 4-8 PM Friday and from 11 AM-1 PM Saturday.
