JACKMAN
Virginia Sue Jackman, 82, formerly of London, died peacefully on Friday, April 14, 2023, in The Sterling Place, Mount Sterling, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Born October 10, 1940, in Rockville, Indiana, she was a daughter of Robert W. and Catherine M. (Lemler) Dillingham.
After teaching in London for many of her early years, Sue spent most of her career with the Central Ohio Psychiatric Hospital. She later retired from the State of Ohio, Department of Administrative Services. Sue was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Coover Club of London, and the Delta Gamma sorority.
Survived by her children: David (Lisa) Jackman of London, Susan (Michael) Boggs of Orient, and Gregory (Kathy) Begley of Nicholasville, Kentucky; grandchildren: Amber, Ashley, Amanda, Justin, and Rachel; three great-grandchildren plus two on the way; brother Robert (Dorcas) Dillingham of Carmel, Indiana; several nieces and nephews.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Anita (James) Coles and Mary Kathryn (John Park) (Samuel) Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, April 21, 2023, in the First United Methodist Church, 52 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, with Pastor Sue McClelland officiating. Interment will follow in Paint Memorial Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the church from 11 AM Friday until time of services.
