WHITESIDE
Suellen Kay Whiteside, 62, of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, after a long battle with Huntington’s Disease. Suellen was born May 30, 1960, in Wilmington, Ohio to Wanda (Ogle) and Kenneth Higgins.
Valedictorian of her 1978 Madison Plains High School class, she also graduated summa cum laude from the Ohio State University, and later taught at Madison-Rural Elementary.
Suellen loved classic movies, rock music, and devoured literature of every kind. She was a diligent genealogist for the family, a dominating Trivial Pursuit player, and a lifelong beauty.
More than anything, she dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren.
Suellen is survived by her children Kent Whiteside, Lark (Matthew) Ashley, Chase Whiteside, Jill (Adam) Whiteside, Veronica Fowle and Elizabeth Fowle; her grandchildren Skylar, Xander, Alden, Oliver, and Roger; her mother; brothers Scott (Brenda) Higgins, Andy (Penny) Higgins, and Kerry (Diana) Higgins; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be from 11am–1pm, Tuesday, August 9 at Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home (103 North Main Street, London, Ohio), with the service to begin at 1pm. Burial will follow at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
