            Steven “Steve” L. Gordon, 68, of Washington Court House, died Wednesday, September 27, 2023, in his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

            Born March 17, 1955, in West Jefferson, Ohio, he was a son of Chester Gordon and Erma (McCann) Gordon.

            Steve was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. After his time in the service, he spent his career working as a heavy equipment operator for the Melvin Stone Company. In his free time he always enjoyed woodworking or fishing, but his ultimate joy was spending time with all his family.

            He leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years, Mary (Wilson) Gordon of Washington Court House; children Steven (Tara) Gordon of South Carolina, Jimmy Gordon of Portsmouth, Crystal (Tim) Harrison of Leesburg, Christina Gordon of Jeffersonville, Todd Cottrell of Jackson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Belinda Viar of Washington Court House and Darlene (Dick) Keech of Sabina, brothers Kenneth “Pork” (Shelley) Gordon of Mechanicsburg and Tom Gordon of Woodstock; numerous nieces and nephews.

            Steve was preceded in death by his parents Chuck and Erma Gordon; brothers Jimmy and Ralph Gordon; son James White.

            A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023, beginning at 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, with Pastor Mike Hodge officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of services.

            Memorials in Steve’s name can be made to the funeral home for the benevolence of the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
