ROGERS
Ricky Lee Rogers, 70, of London, died suddenly Sunday, April 7, 2024, in Madison Health.
Born June 3, 1953, in Columbus, he was a son of Forrest Ethel “Flo” (Rogers) Stevens.
Ricky was a true jack-of-all-trades who was skilled at working with his hands. He began his career working for Simmons Mattress in Grove City where he dedicated over 20 years of service. He transitioned to J.I.C. in West Jefferson, where he later retired from. Always a jokester, Ricky was someone who always lived in the moment and enjoyed everything life offered. He never knew a stranger and was always the life of the party to be around. His free time was spent tinkering and finding various projects, particularly different projects that would benefit his family. He loved traveling, even taking several solo trips throughout his life. Some of his favorite destinations included amusement parks in search of the newest, tallest, and fastest roller coasters. He also loved traveling to Virginia Beach, this was always his favorite beach view. Ricky always enjoyed the time spent with his family, especially on the warmer days when he could break the cornhole boards out! His smile, helpfulness, and infectious personality truly left the world a brighter place and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by brothers Terry L. Stevens of Mount Sterling and Chuck (Melinda) Stevens of London; nieces and nephews Misty D. (Todd) Collinsworth, Chas (Stephanie) Stevens, Casey Marie Stevens; great nieces and nephews Lakyn Collinsworth, Ronin Collinsworth, Aubree Stevens, Aniyah Gravely, Charles Richard Stevens IV; wife Betty (Robinson) Rogers; stepchildren Matt Ross and Carol Robinson; step grandchildren Michael Ross, Andrew, and Alisha; numerous cousins; many good friends from the smoke shops in London.
Ricky was preceded in death by his mother Flo Stevens and stepfather Charles Richard Stevens Sr.; infant brother Kip Eugene Stevens; stepsons Robert Robinson and David Ross; sister-in-law Cindy (Shekerko) Stevens; aunt and uncle Emma and Russell Dixon; grandparents Blanche (Byerly) and Clarence Rogers.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, beginning at 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, with Pastor Steve Gilkerson officiating.
