THOMPSON
Richard Henderson Thompson, 60, of West Jefferson, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, April 3, 2024, in his residence.
Born October 22, 1963, in London, he was a son of Henry L. Thompson and Donna (Penwell) Thompson.
Rich had worked as a truck driver for BST for over 20 years. Born with a natural funny bone, Rich was a jokester and was always smiling and trying to make people laugh. He was as trustworthy as they come, and always was a very go with the flow type of person. Rich was a diehard Michigan football fan, always making sure to call his sisters whenever the Michigan and OSU game was on. He also enjoyed playing the lottery and scratch off tickets of which he would be sure to brag to his family and friends about his winnings. He also enjoyed fishing with his dear friends, although no one would ever have much luck on the lake. Rich especially cherished his family and all of the memories they were able to make together.
He is survived by sisters Medina Conley of London and Katrina (Martin) Perry of Mount Sterling; many aunts and uncles; nephew Mike Walters, great-nephew Eric Walters, numerous cousins; special best friends who were like family Moose Hamad, Osah Hamad, Mason Converse, Amrit, Azar Hussein, and Joseph Bauer. Rich was preceded in death by his parents, several aunts and uncles.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM in Big Plain Cemetery, 9241 Big Plain Circleville Road, London, Ohio 43140, with Pastor Gaye Gossard officiating.
The family is being served by the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, where condolences are encouraged to be shared online at www.eberlefisherfuneralhome.com.
