MAYNARD
Owen J. Maynard, 61, of London passed away February 6, 2021 at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio.
Owen was born January 11, 1960 in Huntington, WV to Jerry and Madeline Maynard.
Owen loved spending time with his family and enjoyed being around his grandkids. If you couldn’t find him at work, he’d either be on a bank fishing or with the family. Owen was the type of person that could spark a conversation with anyone, being around people was something he loved. Owen also enjoyed taking his dog Zoey on walks.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Kelly (Fields) Maynard; four children, sons Nicholas “Logan” Maynard and Austin Bauer both of London, daughters Jessica Bauer of London and Jordan (Chandos) Bailey of Kenton, OH; six granddaughters Kaylynn, Albrey, Carlie, Kindall, Addison and Gracelynn; brothers in law Todd Fields and Vince (Jean) Fields both of London; brother Rick (Frances) Maynard of Ranger, WV, late Randy (Lolie) Maynard of Ranger, WV, sisters late Sylvia (Delmer) Nelson, Sheila (late Willard) Adkins, Wanda (late Hubert) Nelson and Joyce Maynard all of Logan, WV, Bonnie (Willis) Hensley of Chapmansville, WV and many nieces, nephews and friends including four close friends, Joe Reeves, Keith Heaston, Judy Litton and Mary Graham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law Carl and Lorene Fields, sister-in-law Carla Fields, sister Sylvia Nelson, brother Randy Maynard, niece Regina Hensley and nephew Tub Adkins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, February 12, 2021 in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with Pastor Jody Pickett officiating. Interment will follow in Somerford Township Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon until time of services Friday.
