Mary Kay (Lytle) Sparrow

Mary Kay Sparrow, 64, of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, died Wednesday, December 15, 2021, in The James Cancer Hospital, Columbus.

Born January 26, 1957, in Confluence, PA, she was a daughter of Paul and Judy (Sloan) Lytle.

Mary had worked for Madison Plains Schools, retiring as Food Service Director. After volunteering as a parent at the school, she began her career in the kitchen at Fairfield Elementary. She loved cooking and taking care of the kids.

A woman who adored her family and lived for her grandkids, she leaves her husband of almost 44 years Ralph Sparrow, children Angie (Jeremy) Porter, Scott Sparrow (Keri Hart) and Kathy (Chris) Hart; grandchildren Kaytlin, Ben, Jacob, Logan and Avery; sisters Linda Pinney and Paula Sue (Bruce) Martin; brothers Michael (Gretta) Lytle and Jonathan (Laura) Lytle; many nieces, nephews and good friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, December 23, 2021, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with Pastor Jim Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in Big Plain Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 am until time of services Thursday. A reception will follow at the township building in Big Plain.
