CARTER
Larry Michael “Mike” Carter, 77 of London, died Monday, August 23, 2021 in Mount Carmel East Hospital.
Born October 19, 1943 in Springfield, Ohio, he was a son of Reverend Donald L and Maxine L. (Pickens) Carter.
Mike had worked over 30 years as a lineman for Ohio Edison. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Post 950, and a former Jaycees member. Mike was an avid wood-worker and stained glass artist who enjoyed creating special pieces for family and friends. Mike loved to play golf and watching THE Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Sharon (Castle) Carter; son Kevin C (Heidi) Carter, daughter Lori M. (Todd) Fisher; grandchildren Morgan (Joey) Borders, Ryan (Raelynn) Fisher, Lyndsay Carter, Riley Carter, Payton Carter, Alexis Carter, and Kevin Carter II; great-grandson Jace Michael Fisher; brother Don Carter; brother-in-law John Haller, sisters-in-law Debbie Carter, Jackie Hayes, and Diane Yoakum; many nieces and nephews.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents; son Michael Scott Carter; sisters Joyce Weir and Carol Haller, brother Steve Carter; father and mother-in-law Art and Margaret Castle; brothers-in-law Larry Yoakum and Darrell Castle, and sisters-in-law Maggie Castle and Ann Carter.
Public viewing will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 from 10a-12p at the EBERLE FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio. A graveside service will follow at Kirkwood Cemetery.
