Joyce Jo (Myers) Colwell

COLWELL

            Joyce Jo (Myers) Colwell, 74, of London died Wednesday, September 11, 2019 in the Bluebird Retirement Community.

            Born March 7, 1945 in Madison County; she was the daughter of Gale O. and Helen Wilma (Smith) Myers.

            Joyce retired from Madison County Municipal Court in April, 2005; was a member of the First United Methodist Church of London and had many cherished memories and lifelong friendships from growing up on Arbuckle Road.

            Survivors include her son and daughter in law Martin and Tina Colwell; daughters and sons in law Tamara and Mike Duvall and Stacy and Heath Elliott; grandchildren Zachary, Courtney and Malorie Colwell, Grant and Margaux Duvall and Noah Elliott; sister in law Jane Myers and niece Melodye Bush.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Don Grant Colwell, brother Okey G. Myers and niece Kimberly Gayle Myers.

            Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, September 16, 2019 in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with Pastor Dave Leckrone officiating. Interment will follow in Kirkwood Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 PM Sunday.

            The family suggests memorials in Joyce’s name be made to either the American Cancer Society or Madison County Humane Society.
