            Joseph “Jojo” Samuel Spires, 31, of London, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 18, 2023, in Grant Medical Center, Columbus. He was the victim of a motorcycle accident.

            On July 15, 1991, Jojo was born in Newark, Ohio to Bryon Spires and Tamra (Ostrum).

            After graduating high school, Jojo went on to work in welding. He loved watching both sunrises and sunsets and was sure to always photograph these beautiful scenes to share with family and friends.

            Jojo is survived by his loving parents Tamra (Donald) Griffith and Bryon (Grace) Spires; brother Joshua (Katie) Spires and sister Jennifer Spires; nephew Landon Spires and niece Emilia Spires; aunts and uncles Vikki (Wes) Thomas, Charlie Spires, Treva Bailey, Darla Ostrum, Sharon (David) Johnson; numerous cousins.

            He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Patricia and Samuel Ostrum and paternal grandparents Janice and George Spires.

            The family will receive friends on Friday, May 26, 2023, beginning at 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. A memorial service will begin Friday at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ron Grant officiating.

            If they wish, memorials in Jojo’s name can be made to Ethan Crossings, 2317 East Home Road Springfield, Ohio 45503. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home during services.

            Jojo’s loved ones have ensured his legacy will live on through tissue donation, and through that generous decision, Jojo will touch countless others as the family members, friends and communities of those who receive his donated tissue will be forever impacted by their improved quality of life, made possible through this selfless gift.
