JOHNSON
Joseph (Jim) James Johnson, 85, of London, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021, from natural causes.
Jim’s old fashioned values, generosity, and his love for his family will be deeply missed.
He was born on June 25, 1936, in London, and was the son of Stanley and Flora (Tway) Johnson.
Jim graduated from London High School in 1954. Shortly after that he began employment with the Westinghouse Corporation until 1983, retiring with 28 years of service. He then proceeded to become a part-time farmer while working for Murray and Edwards Marathon Oil in London. Jim also served in the Ohio National Guard Reserve.
Jim married the love of his life Phyllis (Clark) in 1960 until her death in 2014.
He is preceded in death also by his parents and younger brother Richard.
Jim is survived by his daughter Robin (Clint) Hutson and two sons Scott (Debbie) Johnson and Mark Johnson. He is also survived by two sisters Elaine (Tony) Stuthard and Sharon Holton. Jim is also survived by his nine grandchildren Christopher (Trisha) Hutson, Elizabeth (Ryan) Burns, Corey Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Zoe Hutson, Abby Hutson, Dakota Hutson and Charlie Hutson. His great-grandchildren are Reese, Avery and Clara Burns and Griffin Hutson and many nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Beverly Johnson.
Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until 1 PM Wednesday, July 21, 2021, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, immediately before the funeral services that begin at 1 PM. Interment will follow at the Deercreek Township Cemetery in Lafayette, Ohio.
