BLANKENSHIP
John M. Blankenship, Jr., 65, of South Charleston, died Wednesday, June 16, 2021 in his residence.
Born February 14, 1956 in Springfield, he was a son of John M. and Wilma J. (Willis) Blankenship, Sr.
A truck driver most of his life, John enjoyed fishing, gardening, photography, being outdoors, working with his hands and was a great storyteller.
Survivors include his children Ty (Elena) Blankenship, John Mark Blankenship, III, Michael (Heidi) Blankenship and Megan (Tommy) Clemens; grandchildren Brooke, Tyler, Rachel, Olivia, Macy, Kelsey, Trenton, Coal, Chasity, Tabitha and Aaron; great-grandchildren Joshua, Alena and Kole; sister Vera (Tom) Schliep, brother Donald (Anne) Blankenship, several nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marilyn in 2007, son Nathan Blankenship and brother Ronald Blankenship.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, June 21, 2021 in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with Pastor Charles Wertz officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, South Charleston. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 AM until time of services Monday.
