Joan Wilson, 84, of London, OH died Sunday, November 7, 2021, in her residence in the arms of her daughter and son-in-law.

Born July 11, 1937, in Rushden, England, she was the daughter of Robert and Catherine (Whiting) Pleasance. Due to their untimely death at her very young age, she was raised by her aunt Kate and uncle Arthur Macrow who became mum and dad.

Joan had worked 16 years as Environmental Director for the former Arbors at London. She was an avid animal lover and loved Ohio State Football.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law Tracey and David Wilson, several cousins in England, her sister-in-law Clarabelle Wilson, best friend Joana Stiefel, friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Kath and Bet and ex-husband Elwood (Willie) Wilson.

Joan’s family, friends and British roots meant everything to her. She had a heart of gold and a feisty personality. She will be forever missed but always in our hearts until we are once again in her loving arms in Heaven.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 16, 2021, with visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with John Crutchfield officiating.
