MARTIN
James R. Martin, 85, of London, died Friday, April 2, 2021 in Grant Hospital, Columbus.
Born January 1, 1936 in Madison County, he was the son of James T.L. and Gwyneth Lois (Shepherd) Martin.
For over 30 years, Jim had worked for North American Rockwell, where he retired as a manager. A member of the First Presbyterian Church, he also belonged to Chandler Lodge #138, F & AM, AASR Valley of Columbus, Benjamin Franklin Chapter of the SAR, First Families of Ohio, The OSU Marching Band, AARP Ohio and the Madison County Senior Center.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years Frances Ann (McCormack) Martin, son Jeffrey Todd (Kim) Martin, daughter Maria Gwyn (David) Hill; grandchildren Jacob, Benjamin, Hannah and J.T. Martin, Caleb and Ira Gill and Hailey Hill; great grandchild Jackson W.H. Gill; sisters Theda (Charles) Carson and Eleanor (Fred) Ballard; niece Carrie (Tony) Worthington and nephews Greg and Randy Smith.
He was preceded in death by his great grandchild A.J. Gill.
Per Jim’s request, there will be no services and cremation will take place.
