            Homer E. “Gene” Pack, 79, of South Solon, died Friday, July 21, 2023, in his residence.

            Born April 2, 1944, in Ashland, Kentucky, he was a son of Homer and Dova Mae (Bolt) Pack.

            Gene was a United States Army veteran, serving his country during the Vietnam War. Following his time in the service he went on to drive a truck where he later owned and operated his own truck. Gene was a faithful member of the former Church of Christ in South Solon. He was a beloved grandpa and adored spending time with all his grandchildren. When not spending time with family, Gene enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, and being outdoors.

            He is survived by his loving companion Debbie Boysel; daughters Genna (Randy) Flugge and Angela Pack; stepdaughter Morgan Thompson; grandchildren Jate Nott, Mitchell Flugge, Hunter Flugge, Bailey Thompson, and Regan Thompson; several nieces and nephews.

            Gene was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rhea (Green) Pack, and sister Linda Sue Shipley.

            A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, beginning at 6:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until the time of services.
