WRIGHT
Harold “Harry” “Hairman” Wright, 59, of Washington Court House, died on Thursday, November 10, 2022, in his residence. Born October 1, 1963, he was a son of John and Roma (Clark) Wright.
Harry graduated from Madison Plains High School and went on to attend Wright State University. He worked professionally as a radio personality for both WCHO and WVNU and was active in WCHC TV. Harry also had worked as a cook for the Well and Horney’s BBQ. He attended the First Presbyterian Church of London, where he would always sing in the choir. Harry belonged to several organizations including the Masonic Lodge, Fayette County Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Special Olympics, My Sister’s House, and many other charities and organizations. He always took pride in being a devoted member of the community and was a former Fayette County Hometown Hero Award Winner.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary; parents John and Roma Wright; brothers and sisters Pat Bennett, Gaylene Robinson, Phyllis Callender, Mary Longberry, Barb Brakeall, Bill Wright, Roy Wright; nephews Jeromy Swyers and Eric Welsh; special friends Deena and Ashlee Townsend.
Harry leaves behind his children Melissa (Chris) Brakefield, Jessica (Virgie) Cox, Jennifer Wright, Michael Cox, Pete Cox, Jacob (Jesika) Cox, Kate Cox; grandchildren Cayli Rowe, Logan Cox, Darren Cox, Christian Cox; great-grandchildren Ty Rowe, Cayne Rowe; brother Larry (Brenda) Wright, sisters Kim (Randy) Welsh and Tammy (Todd) White; many nieces and nephews; special friends Roger Townsend, Ron Tope, Joe Hanusik, Pete Robinson, and Kathy Patterson.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022, beginning at 11:00 AM in the First Presbyterian Church, 211 Garfield Avenue, London, Ohio 43140, with Pastor Desiree Youngblood officiating. Interment will immediately follow in South Solon Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London.
In lieu of flowers, the family recommends that memorials in Harry’s name be sent to the Madison Plains High School Marching Band, 800 Linson Road, London, Ohio 43140.
