MERCER
Georgia M. Mercer, 91, of South Solon, died Saturday, January 2, 2021 in The Ohio State University Hospital.
Born February 16, 1929, she was the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Haynes) Robinette.
Georgia had worked for Madison Plains School District for 50 years, many as a school bus driver and retiring as a cook. She attended the Sedalia Church of Christ in Christian Union and loved gardening, cooking, and running the family farm.
Survivors include her son and daughter in law Jeffrey and Maxine Mercer; grandson Jamie Mercer, granddaughter Holly Mercer; seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Ruth Ann (Mike) Thompson and brother-in-law Stanley Mercer.
She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Mercer in 2007, an infant daughter, and brother David Robinette.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in South Solon Cemetery with Reverend Gordon Ell officiating. Per Georgia’s request, visitation will not be observed.
