JACKSON
George A. Jackson, 72, of London, died Wednesday, June 23, 2021, in Springfield Regional Hospital.
Born July 29, 1948, in London, he was a son of Luther Gilbert and Madge V. (Hutchison) Jackson.
George was an auxiliary member of the Madison Memorial Post #1176, American Legion, and for many years he attended Bethel Pentecostal Church. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, playing pool and cards, singing Karaoke, and simply, being the life of the party.
Survivors include his life partner, companion, and best friend, Jackie Carlos; ex-wife and friend, Christine Jackson, children Kimberly Lett, William “Billy” Holbrook, George “Tony” Holbrook, Michelle (Everett) Dickens, Jordy (Sophia) Jackson, Jessica (Shane) Rickmon, Joy Carlos and William “Bill” Johnson; a host of grand and great grandchildren; brothers Pearl E. (Roynette) Jackson, David (Renda) Jackson, Robbie Jackson, sister Diana (Jay) Large; and numerous nieces, nephews, cherished cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Ronald (Sandie) Wilson, Walter Lee Wilson, Luther Gilbert Jackson Jr., Charles Jackson, Rodney Jackson, and Connie Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, July 2, 2021, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street in London with Raymond Lett officiating. Interment will follow in Deercreek Township Cemetery in London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 AM until time of services Friday.
