Ellen "Rosie" (Archer) Rutherford

            Ellen “Rosie” Rutherford, 96, of London died Saturday, October 14, 2023, in Madison Health.

            Born July 14, 1927, in Fayette County; she was a daughter of Carl and Mabel (Wilson) Archer.

            A longtime member of the Newport Church of Christ in Christian Union (CCCU); Ellen had worked for Attorney Maurice Beathard for over 50 years.

            Survivors include her children Marla (Jack) Turvy and Mark Rutherford all of London; granddaughters Leah (Vince) Cirivello of Gahanna and Allison (Adam) Wilson of Mt. Sterling; great-grandchildren who were the light of her life Anthony and Samuel Cirivello and Amelia and Abram Wilson; sister Sylvia Isaacs of London; nieces and nephews Lynn (Edward) Banion, Eric (Tricia) Bush and Andrea “AJ” (Sandy Roby) Bush; several great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Homer “Red” Rutherford, sisters Betty Bush and Dolores Wisecup.

            Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, October 19, 2023, in the Newport CCCU with Revs. Bill Benner and Ralph Hux officiating. Interment will follow in Range Township Cemetery, Sedalia. Friends may call at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London from 4-7 PM Wednesday.
