Duane Updegrove

UPDEGROVE

            Duane Updegrove was born September 26, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio to Dennis Updegrove and Janet Knight Updegrove. Duane had worked for Krazy Glue and attended Matco. He made so many meaningful connections with employees, with staff and supervisors everywhere he went.

            He moved to London, Ohio where he united in marriage with Brenda Burns on April 1, 2015 and remained in London until he departed this life on Saturday, May 16, 2020. Duane was a wonderful family man and friend to all he met. He loved to shower his wife with flowers and gifts. His family was his number one priority in life.

Duane enjoyed getting out into the community. He loved dining at Der Dutchman, going to local casinos, shopping and watching Monday Night Wrestling. He was very proud of his native American connections and ability to mind search with family.

            Preceded in death by his parents Dennis and Janet Updegrove; he leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Brenda Updegrove; brother Dean S. Updegrove of Florida and stepson Johnny Burns.

            The family would like to acknowledge the acts of kindness, prayers and sympathy shown to them during their hours of sorrow. Special thanks to Dr. Zainab Al-Obosi who provided Duane with superb care. Special thanks to the staff of Consumer Support Services who ensured Duane had the quality of life he desired and deserved. Duane will be remembered for his kind heart, love of life and bravery through all he endeavored.

            Friends are invited to calling hours at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London from 1-3 PM Friday. A private funeral service will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be at 11 AM Saturday in Skidmore Cemetery, Garrison, KY.
