Dale D. Gamertsfelder

GAMERTSFELDER, Dale D. 91, of London, OH formerly of Millersburg, OH and FL passed away on Nov 24, 2020. 

He was born Sept. 29, 1929 at home in Clark Township, Coshocton County, OH.

Dale was blessed to have two women that loved him and he loved.  He is survived by his wife, Sue, one brother Gordon, four children Sidney (Sherry) Gamertsfelder, Carol (Jim) Alexander, Ron (Gwen) Kreager, Ken (Trista O’Brien) Kreager, nine Grandchildren Jenny Buetow, Matt (Kris) Gamertsfelder, Heather, Laura  Ashley and Megan Alexander, Danielle (Alex) Parsons, Lindsey and Kendra (Zach Hayes) Kreager, and four great-granddaughters.  Preceding him in death were his parents Perry and Bernice Gamertsfelder, an older sister, Mary Ashcraft, an older brother George and his wife Carolyn.

Dale was blessed to have many job opportunities that he loved, finally retiring from the state of Ohio. He will be remembered by many for his work with the Boy Scouts and for establishing an Explorer Post in Millersburg. Dale was always up for a camping trip, canoe trip with the Scouts.  Many will remember him as the cotton candy man as he raised funds for the Boy Scouts.  He could be seen at parades, football games, and other places making and selling cotton candy for the Scouts.  He always would have a sample for those that looked skeptical.

Dale lived a full and happy life and was a good example for not only his family but for those that knew him.

Rest in Peace and continue to watch over us as you always have. You will not be forgotten and are loved.

The family is planning a celebration of life at a safe time 2021.  Gifts to your local Boy Scout Council are requested in lieu of flowers.
