Charles “Charlie” “Doc” Kalb. DVM, 82, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at his home in London, Ohio, on Sunday, January 2, 2022.
Charlie was born December 30, 1939, in Crawford County, Ohio. He was a United States Navy Veteran and a veterinarian specializing in horses for many years. His hobbies included harness racing, working with electronics and tending his horse farm he and his wife built, of which he was very proud of.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Wanda Kalb, his son Brandon “Mister” Kalb of London, Ohio. Charlie was willing to take the responsibility of two step-children and raised them as his own, Michael (Tessa) Fout of London and Michelle Knapp (Dean Snyder) of South Solon. He is also survived by his grand-children, Mikey “the boy” Fout of Columbus, Ohio, Audrey and Abigail Knapp of South Solon, Ohio, mother-in-law Ruth Dever of London, Ohio and brother-in-law Larry (Nancy) Dever also of London.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Dorothy (Pfahler) Kalb and father-in-law Russell Dever.
The family is being served by the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio where funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 1 PM. Visitation with the family will be held immediately prior to the funeral service from 11-1 PM.
