Charlene A (Morelli) Tompkins

            Charlene A. Tompkins, 73, of London died Saturday, November 12, 2022, in Mt. Carmel, Grove City.

            Born October 8, 1949, in Steubenville, Ohio, she was a daughter of William F. and Pauline (Sekerak) Morelli.

            Charlene had worked for the former Ohio State Life Insurance Company.

            Charlene was a proud 50+ year member of the Laureate Gamma Tau Sorority. She loved her Sorority sisters dearly., Charlene always loved to go with Jerry to the senior center for daily lunches, delightful dining, mystery lunches, day trips and overnight trips. The senior center was very important to Charlene and having fun with her fellow seniors on these trips.

            Charlene loved purses. She never met a purse she didn’t love. More often than not, she purchased one. She also loved Westerns on the Western Channel. She would say “Jerry, what’s on the “Bang Bang” channel? He would change the channel too, per his queen’s request! She also loved salads. She would order a salad over a steak. Everytime!

            Charlene and Jerry had nicknames for each other. Charlene was Mossy and Jerry’s was Tossy.

            I will love and miss you, Mossy, forever! Your devoted husband Jerry.

            Survivors include the love of her life and adoring husband of 46 years, Gerald “Jerry” Tompkins; sister Elizabeth “Sissy” (Jon) Periandri, brother Charles (Kathy) Morelli, loving sister-in-law Mary (Tompkins) Seipel; special cousins “Edith” Morelli and Gigi Morelli and numerous nieces and nephews.

            She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

            A Celebration of life service for Charlene will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, December 10, 2022, in the Madison County Senior Center, 280 W. High Street, London, Ohio 43140.

            Memorials in Charlene’s name may be made to the Madison County Senior Center.
