BATEMAN
Barbara “Barb” A. Bateman, 75, of West Jefferson, died Thursday, September 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Born April 24, 1948, in Franklin County, she was a daughter of Jesse Pearl White and Annabelle (Lloyd) White.
Barb had worked professionally as a welder for Jefferson Industrial Corporation. Her most favorite activities included doing anything and everything with her family, especially the fishing trips at Lake Erie, and traveling to Florida for even more family fun. She also enjoyed crafting, particularly making hook loop rugs, and completing the largest jigsaw puzzles she could find.
She leaves behind two sons Chris (Melinda) Bateman and Kevin (Beth) Bateman both of West Jefferson; grandchildren Colleen (Kyle) Hickman, Nicki Bateman, and Michael (Adria) Bateman; great-grandchildren Emily, Madison, Hunter, Christian, Isabella, McKenzie, Cayden, and Ember; sisters Donna Scarberry of Plain City and Renda Stouffer of Tennessee; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Howard Bateman; daughter Trina Adams; grandson Josh Bateman; sister Edna Morris; brother Terry White; brothers-in-law Tom Scarberry and Robert Morris.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, beginning at 11:00 AM, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, with Ray Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Dennison Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
