DETTY

Wilson H. Detty, Jr., 66, of West Jefferson, died Monday, May 10, 2021 in Grant Medical Center, Columbus.

Born April 26, 1955 in Chillicothe, he was a son of Janice (Copley) and Wilson H. Detty, Sr.

A US Army Veteran, Wilson had taught HVAC for American School of Technology and had also been a barber. He was a member of the Pipefitters Union and had also belonged to Madison Memorial Post #105, American Legion.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years Mary E. (Hollingshead) Detty; sons Wilson Jonathan (Michelle) Detty, III and Justin Michael Detty; grandchildren Kaylee and Logan; sister in law Nancy Detty; nieces Carrie and Mary.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother Skip Detty.

Neither visitation nor funeral services will be observed. The family suggests memorials in Wilson's name be sent to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
