LOCKE Dr. William C. Locke, 86, of London died Wednesday, November 27, 2013 in Sisters on Main, London. Born October 5, 1927 in Canton; he was a son of Arthur C. and Margaret Helen (Boston) Locke. A family physician in London for many years at the Madison Medical Center and Madison County Hospital, Dr. Locke then retired and served as a physician for Madison Correctional Institution for another two years. A US Navy veteran of World War II; he was a member of Chandler Lodge #138 F & AM, the Aladdin Temple Shrine, was past president of the London Country Club, member of the CLPOA board of Trustees, St. John's Lutheran Church and also belonged to the AMA. He loved to play golf and euchre. He is survived by his wife Mary (Pennington) Locke, daughter Jacqueline Denise (Greg) Shepler of London, son Robert Lee (Katy) Locke of Hemet, CA, grandchildren Alyssa Parrish and Jordan Parrish, step grandchildren Brian Shepler, Eric Shepler and Robert John Keller; niece Carla (Daniel) Wolfe of Pataskala and nephew Arthur (Patty) Locke III of Malvern, Ohio; several brothers and sisters in law. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Bill Locke and brothers Arthur C. Locke II and Robert James Locke. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Loving Care Hospice, Sandy Buehl and the staff of Sisters on Main for the care and comfort in Dad's final days. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church of London with Rev. Gordon Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Somerford Township Cemetery.
