DOWLER

William Ernest Stephen "Steve" Dowler, 81, of London died January 29, 2022.

Born July 20, 1940, in Madison County, he was the son of Lawrence and Patricia (Smith) Dowler.

A US Army veteran, Steve had been a truck driver for Anchor Hocking before owning and operating the Dixie Drive In along with his wife Susie. He had been a member of the American Legion, the VFW and the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years Suella (Unger) Dowler, daughters Angela Hamms and Annette (David) Jones, other children Robin, April, and Jimmy; grandchildren Jonathan Jones, Caitlin Hensley and Conner Hamms along with several other grandchildren; nieces and nephews Pepe', Felicia, Terri and Maria.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Gloria Paras.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, February 2, 2022, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with Reverend Jim Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in Paint Memorial Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 AM until time of services Wednesday.
