ALLEN William Richard "Dick" Allen, 84, of London, died Monday, July 23, 2018 in Madison Health. Born December 29, 1933 in Springfield; he was a son of Paul E. and Jessie (Potts) Allen. A US Army veteran, Dick had retired from General Motors in Columbus after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Lafayette United Methodist Church and also a member of Chandler Lodge #138, F & AM. Survivors include his wife and high school sweetheart of nearly 64 years Leona (Hastings) Allen; children Michael Allen, Monica Rogers, Marlene (Doug) Toops, Michelle (Doug) Adams and Marsha Allen; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister Linda Wilcoxon and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts Margaret Allen and May Rumble and in-laws Paul and Jessie Hastings. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with Mr. Bill Cox, Sr. officiating. Interment follows in Paint Memorial Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 AM until time of services Friday.
