HAMILTON

Wendy J. Hamilton, 47, of South Vienna, died Sunday, January 17, 2021 in her residence.

Born March 30, 1973 in Willoughby, Ohio; she was a daughter of Terry and Carol (Wery) Yakupcak.

Wendy was a graduate of Lake High School (1991) and attended both Kent State University and Stark State College.

Wendy had been a Special Needs Advocate for Starling Support Services of which she was the founder. She worked closely with School Choice Ohio, the Ohio Scholarship Providers Association and ASPIES of Great Akron, serving students and families of children with special needs. Wendy was highly respected in the special needs community and helped many families in need of assistance.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years Phillip Hamilton; sons Joshua and Ryan Hamilton; her parents Terry and Carol; sister Amy (Mike) Zell; nephews Mitchell, Sam, Caleb and Manny.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday, January 30, 2021 in St. Francis Desales Church, 4019 Manchester Road, Akron.
