KALB

Wanda Dever-Kalb went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on October 27, 2025, at her home in London, Ohio.

She was born November 4, 1951, in Scioto County, Ohio to Russell and Ruth (Green) Dever.

She is preceded in death by her Father Russell Dever, husband Charlie (Doc) Kalb, and brother Larry Dever. She is survived by her mother Ruth Dever, 3 children Michael (Tessa) Fout, Michelle Knapp, Brandon Kalb all of London, grandchildren Mikey (Danielle) Fout, Audrey Knapp (Tony Flores) of Columbus, Ohio and Abigail (Andreas) Chaffey of Winterville, North Carolina, and many nieces and nephews.

She was passionate about horses and frequented the Ohio Quarter Horse Congress. She often enjoyed the farm she and her husband built together. She could be found spending time out at the farm with her husband and their horses.

She was an amazing mom, although life was a struggle for her at times, she still took care of her family the best she could. We always knew we were loved. She was a member of the London Baptist Church since her childhood and raised her children there, now her grandchildren attend church there too. She took pride in being a Cedarville University Mom of Brandon and Grandma of Abigail. She helped them in every way she could as they were following in her footsteps at her alma mater. She was very proud of them and their accomplishments just as she was her whole family.

Grandma was sharing with Audrey some memories she had with mom, one she mentioned was mom always saying, "It's my way of the highway".  She was always a pistol, but she was our mom and we loved her. We miss you so much mom.

The Kalb family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the London Baptist Church, 1440 State Route 665, London, OH 43140. An additional hour of visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the church. A funeral service will then commence at 12:00 PM with Mr. Virgil Green officiating, and interment will follow in Somerford Township Cemetery.
