MACKIE (LOHR) Virginia "Gini" (Lohr) Mackie, 96 of London passed away on February 9, 2014 at Sisters on Main. Born on January 6, 1918 in Manhattan, KS; she was a daughter of G.W. and Edythe (Short) Putnam. Virginia worked at the Madison Press and a school secretary for London City Schools before retiring in 1976 and was a member of the OES #386, London Chapter and a former member of the London United Methodist Church and was a member of the State Street United Methodist Church in Saginaw, MI. Survivors include her daughter Jean (Bob) Boyd and their daughter, Carol (Eric) Semler and her children Codey, Dylan, Baylee, Reagyn and Avery; their son Jeff (Chrissy) Boyd and his children Austin, Josh (Ashley) and granddaughter Erica Rayne; son in law Roger (Betty) Turvy of Bellbrooke and their children Shannon (Chris) Calvin and family of Lighthouse Point, FL, Troy (Rebecca) Turvy and family of Santa Cruz, CA, Mary Turvy and Jim Turvy of Bellbrooke; stepson Bruce (Cindy) Mackie and family of Gladwin, MI; stepdaughter Brenda (Dallas) Ivory and family of Lapeer, MI; sister in law Donna Putnam of Ft. Myers, FL, brothers in law Robert Ramsey of Westlake and Dr. Paul (Lee) Metzger of Dublin; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Murray "Red" Lohr in 1982, second husband Dr. William Mackie in 2008, daughter Judith Lohr Turvy, sisters Jeanne Metzger and Marjorie Ramsey and brother G.W. "Bud" Putnam.
