HUNTER Virginia Ann Hunter (Nanny) She left quickly and silently; even in death Gini did it her way. She drove herself to the doctor Monday morning and was taken to the E.R. At the hospital she joked with the nurses, flirted with the doctor and traded barbs with the staff. Her last hours were not entirely without pain, but there was more time of Gini just being Gini. Virginia (Harris) Hunter was born April 25, 1925, the daughter of Jim & Lucille Harris. She was raised in Pitchin, OH and graduated from Southeastern High School in South Charleston. At Southeastern she met Bob Hunter, who later attended Madison Rural and was in that school's first graduating class. Ginny and Bob really got to know each other on their first date, but on that date they were not with each other. Ginny was on the date with Lowell and Bob was on the date with Jean. Later Lowell and Jean also married and they were all life-long friends. Gini and Bob were married on January 23, 1945. Almost immediately Bob left for the war. After the war they settled in Madison County on the family farm and got about the business of raising a family. We are not sure how to condense a whole lifetime into a few paragraphs, so we are not even going to attempt to do so. Mom was a people magnet. Many people were drawn to her, especially those with problems. She stated once that total strangers would just start talking to her about their lives. Her presence will be missed, but memories of her will live on in her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and in the stories told to those too young to have known her and those not yet born.Gini was preceded in death by her mother Lucille and her father Jim, her husband Bob, her sister Charlotte Monroe, her brother Allen Harris and her daughter Jean Severt. Gini is survived by a whole slew of family. Her children; Pam Riedel (Joe), Lou Smith (Mike), Bob Hunter (Anne) and Kay O'Grady (Kevin). Her grandchildren; Beth (Severt) Zein , Amy (Severt) Mancini, Matt Hudson (Tammy), Kyle Hudson (Cassie), Mark Hunter (Lindsay), Sam Hunter, Jesse Hunter, Jed Sullivan (Jessica), Andrea Sullivan (Noahl Conley), and Bart Sullivan (Terin), and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grand children.
