ABBOTT Virginia "Ginger" Abbott, 82, of London died Sunday, June 18, 2017 in The OSU Medical Center. Born April 14, 1935 in Lancaster; she was a daughter of Edgar A. and Lucille M. (Dennis) Ward. Ginger was a wonderful mother and housewife as well as being a secretary at Nationwide Insurance. She had also worked at Meijer for several years and had attended the Methodist Church. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, her caretakers for the past 4 years of her life, Douglas (Patty) Abbott and their children Ashley (Nick) and Abigail and Ginger's great granddaughter Faye; daughter Cindy (Paul) Abbott Shepard; son Bradley Thomas (Jodi) Abbott and their children Garrett, Kristin and Nicholas; and son Edgar Allen Abbott and his children Amanda and Jason; sister Lois Ely of Circleville and several nieces and nephews including Martin and Carol, children of Marilyn Yoli. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Joseph Abbott in 1982 and sister Marilyn Yoli. Per Ginger's request, funeral services will not be observed and cremation will take place. The family suggests memorials be made in Ginger's name to the Madison County Humane Society, PO Box 777, West Jefferson, OH 43162.
