HAMILTON 1 Rev. Virgil S. Hamilton, 93, of Lebanon, Ohio died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Otterbein Homes in Lebanon. Born December 17, 1921 in Knox County, Ohio to the late Charles and Jennie (Holtz) Hamilton, Virgil had served as Pastor for the Plain City United Methodist Church, Howard United Methodist Church of Findlay, Ohio, and the First United Methodist Church of London among others leading his churches for 53 years before retiring from Howard United Methodist Church 1986. He had served his country in the Navy during World War II. He is survived by his children Glenn (Bonnie) Hamilton of London and Tim Hamilton of Grove City; grandchildren Tyler (Corrie) Hamilton, Bryce (Annie) Hamilton, Emily (Chris) Alexander, Elizabeth (Dan) Werly; and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Doris (Moorman), parents, infant child Floyd Allen Hamilton, and brother Robert Hamilton. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 12 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY 103 N Main St. London, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow in Clarksville Cemetery in Clarksville, Ohio.
