Velma Lorena (Owens) Tackett, 82, of London died Friday, March 13, 2020 in her residence.
Born December 22, 1937 in Scioto County; she was a daughter of Omar Leslie and May Florence (Canter) Pitts.
A member of the London Apostolic Gospel Church; Velma had worked at the former 76 Truck Stop.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Howard F. Owens, second husband John V. Tackett, daughter Charidy Terpening, son in law Merrell Pack and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughters Angie Pack, Lori (James Bates) Owens, Valerie (John) Smith, Ellen Owens, Carla (Kelly) Spires, Molly Henry (Shawn Beck) and Amanda (Keith) Marler; grandchildren Joshua Larkins, Jessica (Robert) Reardon, Dusty Greenwood, Matthew Penwell, Tabetha (Scott) Brady, Ashley (David) Riffle, Amy (Blake) McCall, Amber Henry, Sommer Stroup, Sean (Monique) Spires, Megan Cunningham, Erick Cunningham and Auston Spires; great grandchildren Morgan, Tatum, Madison, Jennavieve, Stevie, Charlie, Keegan, Marlee, Zeppilyn, Margot, Weston, Ryker, Sorin and Emma; brother John (Shirley) Pitts and sister Pearl (Ron) Finney; numerous nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Somerford Township Cemetery, with Pastor Mark Schroder officiating.
The family suggests memorials in Velma's name be made to the London Apostolic Gospel Church, 101 Shady Avenue, London, Ohio 43140.
