HARSH Vada Gay Harsh, 86, of Plumwood, died Monday, April 2, 2018 in Columbus. Born May 5, 1931 in Columbus; she was a daughter of Ernest Nelson and Lela Mildred (Ashley) Purdum. Gay was a long-time member of the former Plumwood United Methodist Church and currently belonged to the Lafayette United Methodist Church. Her loves in life were family, farming, gardening, flowers and feeding birds. Survivors include her son Bill (Kathy) Harsh; daughters Rose Ann Gillis, Peggy Lynne Harsh and Shirley Gay (Randy) Clark all of Plumwood; son in law Tim Baronda; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; sisters Dorothy Lehman, Kathleen Yutzy, Irene Bernier, Ruth (Bob) Manns, Rose (Bob) Holycross; brother George (Hazel) Purdum and half-brother Bob (Dottie) Purdum; numerous nieces and nephews; sisters in law Winona Purdum and Rosie Clifton and brother in law John Harsh. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond Harsh; sons Jerry Lynn and Tom Harsh; daughter Sally Marie Baronda; sister Mary Renner; brother John Purdum and half-brothers Jack and Warren Purdum. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with Pastor Carolyn Peacock officiating. Interment will follow in Plumwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 PM Wednesday. The family suggests memorials in Gay's memory be made to the Lafayette Methodist Church.
