GILMERR

V. Laverne "Vern" Gilmerr, 90, of London died Saturday, April 25, 2020 in London Health and Rehabilitation.

Born June 12, 1929 in Fayette County; he was a son of Loren and Christina (Slager) Gilmerr.

For over 40 years, Vern had been a mechanic for Landmark. He was a member of the former Madison County Civil Defense, a retired Captain for Range Township Fire Department and belonged to the Scioto Model A Club.

Survivors include his daughter Vickie Robinson; grandson Heath (Gwen) Robinson, granddaughter Heather Robinson (Kevin Kollar); four great-grandchildren Gunner and Zoee Robinson, Brittney and Mason Sowards; great-great grandson Khase Maynard; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marilyn (Jewett) Gilmerr, son in law Bob Robinson and brother Dale Gilmerr.

A memorial graveside service in Somerford Township Cemetery will be held at a later date.
