MAHAN

With great sorrow we announce the passing of Thomas Jay "Tom" Mahan, age 65, of London. Tom passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, in Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville.

Born March 13, 1960, in Dayton, Ohio, Tom was the adopted son of Acel J. Mahan and Beulah (Burns) Mahan.

A simple man who loved his family more than anything, Tom found solace being at home watching his favorite show, Star Trek. An avid football fanatic, Tom also enjoyed supporting both the Ohio State Buckeyes and his Cincinnati Bengals. He was sure to never miss a game and would always ensure his family was updated for every new first down.

Tom leaves behind a legacy of love through his beloved wife of 39 years, Diana (Mansfield) Mahan; daughter Sarah (Tyler Jackson) Mansfield, son Michael Jay Mahan; several in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and his very special friend, Coco.

He was preceded in death by his parents Acel and Beulah Mahan and in-laws Mary and Donald Mansfield.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM in Kirkwood Cemetery with Dr. Jon Sullivan officiating.
