With heavy hearts we share that, Thomas Ricky Perdue (Riki) 60, of West Jefferson, OH, sadly passed away on August 1, 2024 at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH.

Riki was born on October 2, 1963, to Thomas and Bonnie Perdue in Columbus, OH at Mount Carmel Hospital. He grew up in Marysville, OH and went on to Athens University for his Associate Degree. After getting his degree, he worked at Disney World in Florida and later moved to Las Vegas and worked in the airline services. Riki loved to travel. He met Eduard Van Der Ende, his first partner, and they lived their lives together in the Netherlands. Riki taught English there for a number of years and really enjoyed it. Teaching was one of his life's passions. Eduard passed away and Riki came back to the USA. He bought a log cabin in Lake Choctaw and met his second partner, Craig Carl Burns. They lived out most of their lives together in Florida and Riki furthered his education at a university there finishing with his Master's Degree. He worked in education and was a teacher in the states as well. He also worked for one of the memorial hospitals in Florida. Riki and Craig decided to move back to Ohio. Craig passed away soon after they moved back. Though Riki did not have long after Craig passed, he enjoyed as much time as he could with his family.

Riki is proceeded in death by his father, Thomas Richard Perdue; his first partner Eduard Van Der Ende; his stepfather, Richard Michael Lukie; and his second partner, Craig Carl Burns. He is survived by his beloved mother, Bonnie Perdue of Marysville, OH; his brother, Fredrick (Tina) Perdue; two nephews, Freddy and Ben (Kristie) Perdue; along with his great nephew Samuel, two great nieces Liliana, Chloe, and another one on the way. Riki deeply loved his family and made sure they knew that even in his final breaths.

We will miss him very much.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Somerford Township Cemetery.
