Obituary

HOWSMON Suzanne Howsmon, 83, of South Charleston, died Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in Kobacker House, Columbus. Born November 4, 1935 in London; she was a daughter of R.K. and Chloia (Williams) Rothe. Suzanne owned and operator Hazel's Flowers in South Charleston for 30 years and had also cooked at the Coover Club House in London. She attended the Plattsburg United Church of Christ, was active in the South Charleston Community Club, served on the Madison Plains Scholarship Committee and was well known for her talent of cooking and painting. Survivors include her son Jeff Vallery; grandchildren Sabrina (Ross) Woodruff, Chris (Arica) Vallery, David (Angi) Vallery, Erica Hutson, Julie Vallery (Jason Plank), Eddie (Victoria) Vallery; eight great-grandchildren; sister Carolyn Wilson, brother Dave Rothe; nieces and nephews including Mike (Debbie) Wilson and Lisa Rothe; great niece and nephew McKayla Wilson and Austin Wilson; daughter in law Teresa Vallery and "adopted" daughter and her family Polly (Bill) Agle. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Steve Vallery and brother in law Roger Wilson. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Kobacker House and their staff for the wonderful care they gave Suzanne. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with Pastor Jeff Woodroof officiating. Interment will follow in Kirkwood Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 PM Monday. The family suggests memorials be made to Madison Plains Scholarship, 800 Linson Road, London, OH 43140. Funeral Date: 2019-06-18
