Obituary

COOPER

Steven A. Cooper Sr., known as “Coop” passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughter Melissa, son Steve Jr, and son and daughter in law. On October 30th at 2:29am. He was 72, a London, Ohio resident.

He was born in Cincinnati Ohio on February 9th, 1954, to Cora Ann Cooper, stepfather Francis Lee Cooper

He was the best dad to his children. He had a passion for cars and was a fantastic mechanic. He spent hours working in his garage fixing cars. He provided for his family in whatever way was needed.

He loved eating candy; sweets were his thing. He enjoyed telling jokes and stories and making people laugh.

He couldn’t go a day without going to Speedway to get his sugar free french vanilla cappuccino, and mini marshmallows. He loved playing lottery and always said he’d win big someday. He loved watching his TV shows, having snacks, and smoking a cigarette.

He was a single dad who lived his life for his children. He was stubborn and hardheaded, which he passed onto his children. He always told us he was strong like a bull, and he was until the very end. His love for his children was immense, and they were his pride and joy. He loved being a PeePaw and great PeePaw. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren made him so happy that he lived long enough to have that title. He took pride in his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandsons Mason and Jacob.

Coop is survived by his daughter Melissa Cooper Ray, Son Steven Cooper Jr, son-in-law Mark Ray, daughter-in-law Kim Cooper, stepdaughter Crystal Roseberry; loving friend Aunt D.D.; his grandchildren: Stevie Ann, Sarah, Layne, Coraline, Kaleb, Jude, Anthony, AJ; great-grandchildren: John and Adra.

Coop will be missed deeply, but we know he is resting peacefully and in the arms of Jesus.

Until we meet again dad, we can’t wait for you to greet us and hug us when it’s our time. We love you.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, where condolences for the family may be shared online at www.eberlefisherfuneralhome.com.
