POTTER

Sharon Lee Potter, 75, of London, passed away on June 4, 2025, at London Health and Rehabilitation.

Born on August 27, 1949, in London, Ohio, to Lloyd ("Bud") Potter and Ruth (Cummins) Potter Earley.

Preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Earnest Earley, brothers James and John Potter, brothers-in-law Gene Bussey and Bill Toops, her nephew Duane Bussey and niece Miranda Bussey, maternal grandparents Roy and Belva Cummins and paternal grandparents John and Gertrude (Potter) Chooman.

Sharon is survived by her sisters Marilyn Bussey, Connie Toops, Linda Price, all of London; brother David (Debbie) Potter of Copper City, Michigan; sister-in-law Pat Potter of Wilmington; numerous nieces and nephews.

Sharon moved to Maryland in 1967 where she worked at the F.B.I., The National Education Association, The National District Attorney's Association Commission on Victim Witness Assistance, as well as Dunnells, Duvall, Bennett and Porter until their merger with Holland and Knight, LLP.

She moved back home to London on August 1, 2011, after suffering three strokes in Maryland so she would be able to be nearer to her family.

While in Maryland, Sharon sang in church choirs and in the Greenbelt Combined Choir for many years. She was ordained as a Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Hyattsville, Maryland. She also was a Home Care Volunteer with Hospice of George County, Maryland. Sharon loved to cook, bake, and decorate cakes.

Sharon's family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor Cindy Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Somerford Township Cemetery.
