Shannon Lee Hix, 54, of London, died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 11, 2023, in Madison Health.

Born February 10, 1969, in Springfield, he was a son of Janice L. (Dilley) and Gale A. Hix.

Shannon served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the House of Prayer in London, the VFW, and also volunteered at the Madison County Senior Center. Shannon was an avid gardener, loved taking care of others, and cherished going to church where he enjoyed the company of his church family.

He is survived by siblings Tanya Aubry of Washington Court House, Pamela (Greg) Kuhner of Bellefontaine, and Brian (Lisa) Hix of Ozark, Arkansas, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Shannon was preceded in death by his parents and brother Danny Gale Hix.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, beginning at 1:30 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, with Reverend Richard Peterson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 PM until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Shannon's name can be sent to the funeral home for the benevolence of the family.
