CABLE

Scharlotte A. (Saxour) Cable, age 77, of Canal Winchester, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, January 6, 2026, after a long-fought battle of illness.

Born on July 10, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio, she was a daughter of Cleo and Reva (Collinsworth) Whiteside. She was raised in Lafayette, for which she had many cherished memories. She attended the Deercreek school up until eighth grade. Her high school years she attended and graduated from London.

She was known well over the years for being a school bus driver. Starting in Hilliard then driving for both Fairhaven and London Schools. In later years driving for the Licking County MRDD, and the last few years of her life for Canal Winchester. She also worked for Eddie Bauer for 20 years in supervision and inventory control. Lastly, she worked for several years for TS Trim.

Scharlotte had many interests and loves. She was best known for her cooking and her special talent of crocheting. She made various things through the years but notable hundreds of baby blankets for family and friends. She loved to garden for which her flowerbeds were well known. She loved to fish and be out on her boat relaxing. She loved to thrift shop. She was an avid reader. Above all else, she loved her children, grand & great-grandchildren, family and friends. Nothing made her happier than time spent making memories with them.

She is survived by her children: Michael (Girlie) Saxour of San Diego, California, Clayton (Joanne) Saxour of Daytona Beach, Florida, Andrea Saxour of Canal Winchester, Ohio; her stepsons: David (Martha) Cable of Hebron, Ohio, and Donald Cable of Buckeye Lake, Ohio. Grandchildren: Tyler (Jenny) Saxour, Tristen (See) Saxour, Sky (Eldon) Shih, Brandon Saxour, Chase Saxour, David (Jessica) Cable, Drew (Shelby) Cable, Dean (Ashton) Cable, Daphne (DeAnthony) Hosley, and Vilanie Cable. Great-grandchildren: Kacey, Scarlett, Trinity, Hank, Jackson, Delilah, Gunner, Granger, Tinlee, Bradee, Desmond, and Dailyn. Sister: Ellen Hawkins of Greensboro, North Carolina; nephew Bill (Paul) Hawkins of Greensboro, North Carolina, niece Rachel (Russell) Hawkins of Mount Sterling, Ohio; first husband Roy Saxour of Belleview, Florida; numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband David Cable.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 9:00 – 10:00 AM in The Lafayette United Methodist Church, 1615 Cumberland Street, London, Ohio 43140. A heartfelt funeral service will commence at 10:00 AM with Pastor Cheryl Isaacs officiating. Private interment in Deercreek Township Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family.
