Sally Ann Sisterhen, 99, passed away peacefully on July 22,2026, with her daughters and sons-in-law lovingly by her side. Born March 26, 1927 to Dr. LaVere and Louella Miller, she grew up in Bexley, Ohio, and was a 1944 graduate of Bexley High School.
Sally attended Denison University, then graduated from The Ohio State University with an education degree in dental hygiene. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. While attending OSU she met the love of her life, Tom.
Sally and Tom married June 24, 1950, then moved to London in 1951, where he established his dental practice. They began their family and shared 62 loving years of marriage. Sally was active in many local organizations including First United Methodist Church, Camp Fire Girls, PTA and room mother, London Public Library, Coover and Delphian Societies, Book Club, Golden Girls, and her bridge club of 60 years. Sally assisted in Tom’s dental practice. She was a dog, music, and ice cream lover, an avid reader, a skilled card and game player, and a talented cross-stitcher and knitter whose many projects benefited family, friends, and hospital nurseries.
Sally’s greatest joy was her family. Whether creating cherished Christmas traditions at their home on First Street or memorable, fun moments at the summer cottage on Lake Bellaire, Sally always made sure everyone felt loved and welcomed. Her compassionate care for Tom in his later years was a testament to their enduring love and unwavering devotion to one another.
Sally’s beautiful life will be forever cherished by her family. She was a loving mother to her three daughters: Nancy (Harold) Weese of Jekyll Island, Ga, Diane Slagle of London, OH, and Susan (Jim) Abdnor of Arlington Heights, IL. She was the devoted grandmother of Brian (Melanie), David (Sarah), and Mark (Abby) Weese; Christian Slagle; Jonathan (Amy) Abdnor and Amy (Andrew) Sepiol. Sally was the sweet great-grandmother of Sarah, Anna, Charlie, Alden, Molly, Calvin, Thomas and Phillip Weese; Ellison and Julian Abdnor; and Nathan Sepiol. She was the adored Aunt Lolly to Linda (George) Stevenson, Sally (Ron) Mackert, and John (Mima) Testement. Sally was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tom; her sister, Marty (Reg) Testement; son-in-law, Jim Slagle; and many dear friends.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Cotter House community and Capital City Hospice for their compassionate support and care.
