LUNDEEN Ruth Eleanor (Heminger) Lundeen passed away peacefully at The Ohio State University on November 21, 2017. She was born January 6, 1920 to Clarence and Gladys (Allen) Heminger in Berrien County Michigan. The oldest daughter of 8 children, she is survived by her sisters Mary Cozart-Betz and Kelleen Grove. She and her loving husband Ralph relocated to Ohio after retirement, along with their 500 rose bushes. Ruth led a very interesting life with many activities including; fruit farm wife, card shark, rose exhibitor, bingo player, plant enthusiast, canary raiser, ceramic doll maker, fruit salad maker, reunion lover, car painter and foster mother. She loved fishing, loved watching University of Michigan and The Ohio State University football, enjoyed dining out with friends and family and family gatherings. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and an all-around great person. She was preceeded in death by her husband Ralph and her oldest child John E. Hocker. Left to carry on her memory are her son John's children-her grandchildren Beth Ann, Michael (Mara) Hocker and great-grandsons Nick Hocker and Jake Hocker; David (Tami) Hocker and great-grandsons Brennon (Chelsea) Hocker and Colin Hocker; daughters Ruth Ann (M.) Rahim and granddaughters Cindy Reed, Debbie (Dave) Demmitt with great-grandchildren Abbie (Michael) Scheib, Eddie (Chelsea) Demmitt, Joe Demmitt, Lydia Demmitt and Neal Demmitt and a granddaughter Julie (Gary) Brasher, with great-grandchildren AnneMarie Finfrock, Reed Finfrock, Gabe Finfrock and Garrett Katz; daughter Linda (Gary) Stites and granddaughters Lauren Stites and Leah Stites, and many nieces and nephews including her favorite niece Charlyn Martinez. Ruth was a member of the Clark County Rose Society, Michigan and Ohio Rose Societies and the American Rose Society along with the Madison County Senior Center. She attended Nation Chapel United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg, Ohio. Graveside services will be held at Deercreek Township Cemetery, 1255 US Route 40 SE, London, Ohio 43140 on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11 AM. Donations can be made to Madison County Senior Center.
