WALLS

Russell Marvin Walls, 90, of London, died Thursday, December 15, 2022, in the Bluebird Retirement Community, London.

Born March 27, 1932, in London, he was a son of Charles H. "Happy" Walls and Marie (Bennett) Walls-Stultz.

Russell was an amazing athlete growing up, excelling in baseball and basketball as a high school standout. After graduation, he went on to co-found Thomas & Walls Hardware, worked for F&R Lazarus & Company in Columbus and International Harvester in Springfield before later turning to real estate. Russell spent the best part of his career working as a realtor and co-founded Walls & Bennett Realty, Inc. in London along with his long-term business partner Rodney (Karen) Bennett. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of London, London Lions Club, Chandler Lodge #138 F&AM, London City Council, and Odd Fellows. Russell also loved to fish, particularly in Canada whenever he could sneak away!

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Deb (Davidson) and Dennis Sykes; daughter-in-law Susan Davidson; grandchildren Thomas "Rusty" Hill (Kristen Vance), Hollie (Mike) Kinney, Craig (Zaida) Sykes, Scott (Jennifer) Davidson, Samantha (Steve Parsley) Davidson; great-grandchildren Kyleigh Hill (fiancée Jacob Wade), Skylar Hill-Graham, Mason, Delaney, Caroline, and Scarlet Kinney, Charlotte Davidson; great-great-granddaughter Nova Wade; stepdaughters Linda Ayle, Debra (Gary) Miller, and Pamela (Fred) Bluhm.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Floy Mae Walls, second wife Rosemary Ayle-Walls, and son Robert "Bobby" D. Davidson.

Russell's entombment will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2023, beginning at 11:00 AM in the First Presbyterian Church Columbarium following the Worship time of 10:00 AM. A celebration of Russell's life and reception will be held open house style also on January 8, 2023 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM in the Brennan Loft, 158 South Main Street, London, Ohio 43140.

In lieu of flowers, the family recommends that memorials in Russell's name be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 211 Garfield Avenue, London, Ohio 43140.
