BATEMAN

Rosemary Bateman, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dedicated caregiver, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Doctors Hospital West in Columbus. She was 77.

Born on April 23, 1948, in London, Ohio, Rosemary was the cherished daughter of the late Denny and Marie (Sparks) Pruitt.

Rosemary was a woman whose life was defined by love and service.  She found strength and community in her faith and spending time with her family.

Rosemary's legacy is the beautiful, large family she leaves behind. She is survived by her daughter Bobbie (Jason) Bateman; nephew William Morris; her grandchildren Tiera, Krista (Vincent), LaTisha (Joshua), Jenia, and Mariah (Jordan); and her 15 great-grandchildren:  A'marianna, Kaden, Kolten, Klayton, Kameron, Kyler, A'lijah, Aliyah, Emmanuel, Julius, Julianna, Landen, Jordan, Carliee, and Hayliee. She also leaves her siblings Lloyd (Bonnie) Pruitt and Diane Ford, along with countless nieces and nephews who adored her.

She was welcomed into heaven by her loving husband, Robert Bateman, and her daughter, Rosemarie Emerson. She was also preceded by her parents; sisters Atha Gill, Maxine Wells, and Judy Layton; and brothers Ronald Pruitt, Arby Pruitt, Bufford (Faye) Pruitt and Mike Pruitt; as well as her mother and father-in-law, Rose and John Bateman.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow at Dennison Chapel Cemetery, Big Plain.
